Dates – The 31st Annual Brandon Folk, Music & Art Festival will be held from Friday July 24th through to the evening of Sunday July 26th, 2015.
Location – The 2015 Brandon Folk, Music & Art Festival is located in the North-East corner of the Keystone Centre Grounds – Under the Trees! The Keystone Centre Grounds are located at 1175–18th Street in Brandon Manitoba. Our campground is also located at this site.
Audience Services – Have a question while at the festival? Head to audience services! The audience services tent is the centre of all the action on the festival grounds. Festival programs are available for purchase and all festival information is available in the audience services tent. Merchandise (music, clothing, accessories) from performing bands are available for purchase as well.
Concessions – Hungry? Thirsty? Not to worry, we’ve got you covered! Multiple on site food vendors offer a wide range of choices to cater to your cravings while you enjoy some music under the trees!
Family Area – The Brandon Folk, Music & Art Festival welcomes people of all ages to the festival. A dedicated family area hosts lots of fun family activities – arts & crafts for the children, sandcastle building, and a furry friend or two have been known to make an appearance!
Silent Auction – Be sure to make a stop at the audience services tent and check out what is up for grabs at this year’s silent auction! There’s always something for everyone! Tickets available in the audience services tent and often volunteers make the rounds through the festival site selling tickets as well!
Under the Canvas/Makers Market – This year the Brandon Folk, Music and Art Society is continuing it’s second year of hosting Manitoba’s first Makers Market as part of their annual Folk Festival programming, and we are looking for Makers to be a part of this exciting and innovating event.
Makers are made up of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and inventors. The Makers movement itself is an innovative grassroots initiative that offers a chance for different communities to come together to show what they have made and to share what they have learned.
The Makers Market aspect of the Folk Festival will be primarily designed to be a show case for the Maker of Manitoba to connect, share ideas and explore new forms of technologies. This is not just a showcase for technical fields and will feature innovation and experimentation across the spectrum of science, engineering, art, performance and craft.
