Partnership & Line-up Announcements for 2010 Festival

The Brandon Folk, Music and Art Society and the Brandon University Alumni Association have arranged a community outreach partnership initiative between the two organizations which would see the BFMAS and BUAA partner to engage several hundred BU alumni in the annual summer music and art festival. A block of discounted tickets are available through the Brandon University Allumni office.

Buffy Sainte-Marie at the 2010 Festival

Fresh from being named to the Order of Canada, Academy Award winning artistic legend Buffy Sainte-Marie has been named Artist in Residence for the 2010 Brandon Folk, Music and Art Festival.

Buffy will be featured at the Festival, leading workshops and performing a full concert set during the annual Brandon Folk, Music and Art Festival, taking place July 22-25.
An Academy Award winner, a Juno Award winner, a member the Order of Canada, a Ph.D in fine arts – Buffy Sainte-Marie is all of these and more. In the annals of folk music history, she is on par with such artists as Joan Baez, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.

The full artistic line-up for the 2010 Annual Brandon Folk, Music and Art Festival will be announced on March 18th.
