Silent Auction – Be sure to make a stop at the audience services tent and check out what is up for grabs at this year’s silent auction! There’s always something for everyone! Tickets available in the audience services tent and often volunteers make the rounds through the festival site selling tickets as well!

Under the Canvas/Makers Market – This year the Brandon Folk, Music and Art Society  is continuing it’s second year of hosting Manitoba’s first Makers Market as part of their annual Folk Festival programming, and we are looking for Makers to be a part of this exciting and innovating event.

Description

Makers are made up of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and inventors. The Makers movement itself is an innovative grassroots initiative that offers a chance for different communities to come together to show what they have made and to share what they have learned.

The Makers Market aspect of the Folk Festival will be primarily designed to be a show case for the Maker of Manitoba to connect, share ideas and explore new forms of technologies. This is not just a showcase for technical fields and will feature innovation and experimentation across the spectrum of science, engineering, art, performance and craft.
